Five major Chinese airlines have made some big purchases from Boeing. And for the first time, Chinese airplanes have been sold to American companies.

The 7th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition,  also known as Airshow China, concluded on Sunday with deals  of 102 aircraft inked.

This year's aviation and aerospace expo in Zhuhai saw several firsts. Chinese companies ordered 100 airplanes at the 6-day event, 60 of them from Boeing. And US-based General Electric Aviation ordered a possible 25 ARJ-21 aircraft, a plane researched, designed and developed in China.

Boeing China officials say domestic demand is slowing because of the global economic downturn. But Chinese airlines are still expected to purchase about 4,000 planes over the next two decades.
