The region was hit by a 6.6 magnitude earthquake and a 5.2-magnitude aftershock on Monday, killing at least 10 people.
Relief efforts have already started, and a full check on building safety is under way.
People affected by the quake have already moved into makeshift tents where they can also find food, blankets and other daily necessities provided by the local government.
Quake victim Gesang said, "We have a place to live in. We also receive food. Now we feel at ease."
The Ministry of Civil Affairs has allocated relief materials worth over 5 million yuan from neighboring Qinghai province to the Tibetan quake region. About 1-thousand tents able to house five to eight-thousand people were also sent from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Wednesday.
