Chinese citizens advised to readjust travel schedule to Thailand

The Foreign Ministry is advising Chinese citizens and tour groups to readjust their travel schedule to Thailand, due to the country's tense current situation.

The ministry says anti-government protests have resulted in the closing of airports at a number of popular tourist destinations.

On Tuesday, Thai Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej declared a state of emergency in Bangkok, following violent clashes between pro- and anti-government protesters.
