Chinese tourists back home from Thailand

Chinese tourists are returning home from Thailand after the reopening of Phuket airport.

More than 300 Chinese were reported stranded in the popular tourist destination as anti-government protesters forced the suspension of services at the island's airport on Friday.

Over 130 travellers flew home on Sunday after boarding flights operated by China Eastern Airlines and Hong Kong-based Dragon Airlines.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand says about two-hundred Chinese tourists left Phuket by bus on Sunday morning, and will fly home from Bangkok.
