Vice President Xi Jinping inspects Paralympics preparation

Vice President Xi Jinping has inspected the preparation for next month's Beijing Paralympics. He called on all the departments and organizations involved to make it as splendid as the just-finished Summer Games.

The Vice President's first stop was the Paralympics operations center. He extended a warm welcome to the officials and personnel of the International Paralympic Committee.

Next were some venues and the Athletes' Village. Xi Jinping said this will be the grandest Paralympics in the history. He called on everyone involved in the organizing and preparation to learn from the Summer Games and to do their best to make the Paralympics a success.
