China and Turkmenistan sign a joint statement and agree to deepen bilateral cooperation

China and Turkmenistan have signed a joint statement, agreeing to continue high-level official visits and conduct exchanges at various levels.

China hailed the remarkable achievements made by Turkmenistan in nation building and socio-economic development. China also affirmed its support for the Central Asian country in choosing its own development model.

Turkmenistan reiterated its adherence to the one-China policy, and both sides reiterated that they will deepen cooperation to ensure the two nations' security and regional stability.
