The new Olympic stamps are turning into collector's items all around the world. They are being produced both in China and the UK. Already there are on sale at sixty thousand outlets all over China.

The stamps carry a special Olympic watermark.

Haley Fowell , Royal Mail, said, "The Olympics is all about getting the whole country involved so let's hope that everyone wants to be part of it and they can do so simply by buying stamps."

The special pack features great British gold medalists from the past. Each first day cover is emblazoned with the Olympic five ring emblem.

The Royal Mail plans to produce more Olympic stamps marking different stages in the construction of Olympic venues and infrastructure, setting milestones along the four year run-up to the London Games.
