On Monday morning, Obama's wife Michelle visited the convention hall along with daughters Malia and Sasha.

During the evening session, she's scheduled to tell the story of what could be the first African-American family to move into the White House.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton made her first public appearance in Denver on Monday.

Despite a divisive primary campaign with Obama before conceding the nomination, Clinton came out fighting for her former rival.

Speaking to New York delegates at a breakfast, Clinton declared too much was at stake for the party to remain divided.

He said, "And now I ask each and every one of you to work as hard for Barack and Joe Biden as you worked for me, to put in the hours on the phones, on the doors, in the streets and the neighborhoods, the rural towns and communities across New York and America, because the Democratic Party is a family and this is like a big family reunion."

Following Clinton's speech, New York delegates and Hillary supporters said they were ready to move forward for the good of the party.

Cynthia Glozier, New York delegate said, "I'm still hurting that Hillary isn't the candidate, but I'll support the ticket and I think it's a good ticket. We have to get Bush and McCain, his clone, out of there."

This week's convention will culminate on Thursday night's formal confirmation of Obama as the Democratic Presidential candidate. At that moment, Obama is expected to follow with an acceptance speech to 75,000 at an outdoor sports stadium.
