Chinese athletes make historical breakthroughs in Olympics

Now let's take a look at some of Tuesday's games in which Chinese teams were in medal contention. Gold medals in these events are to be decided over the next few days. But win or lose, Chinese athletes already have made strong progress and some historical breakthroughs.

The Chinese women's basketball team beat Belarus in the quarter-finals, 77 - 62. The win moved China into the semi-final. It's been 16 years since China was in the semi's. China's men's basketball team meets Lithuania in the quarter-finals Wednesday afternoon.
