Seven hundred years ago, Venetian traveller Marco Polo introduced Chinese culture to Europe with his biography. More recently, another legendary European with Venetian roots introduced western fashion concepts to China.

Fashion designer Pierre Cardin is in Beijing to see the Olympics, and he has brought with him a special gift for the Games—the musical "Marco Polo - The Imaginary Journey".
