Tuesday's rain added to the agony of rescuers and families.

The forecast for Tiandong County was up to 30 millimeters of rain over the next two days.

29 miners are still underground. A hydrological team has stepped up efforts to monitor the underground water levels within 500 meters of Workface 4301, where it's believed the men are trapped.
