Just three weeks before Olympic competition goes into  full swing, reporters are gearing up for Olympic coverage.

Around 10,000 journalists will call the Main Press Center their office away from home during the Games. 150 media organizations have registered a place in the MPC.

More than 200 overseas staff and volunteers are ready to offer help. Technicians are focused on ensuring no glitches will disrupt the news from rolling along.

The Director of Special Events for the Associated Press says everything is going well as his 300-strong team prepares to cover the Beijing Olympics. The MPC will begin providing round-the-clock services from Friday.
