Bush will meet with other leaders of the Group of Eight richest nations next week. They will grapple with a raft of problems from soaring food and fuel prices to African poverty and global warming.
Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Canada and the United States will be joined by heads of seven major economies, including China and India. It will be the largest G8 gathering since the first summit more than 30 years ago.
