A group of 900 Chinese children who survived the traumatic May 12th earthquake is heading to Russia to receive special care. The Russian government has prepared rehabilitation centers to look after the children.

A group of 900 Chinese children who survived the  traumatic May 12th earthquake is heading to Russia to receive special care.

This is one of several centers, and it's located in west Russia's Kemerovo region. It was designed to look after children who had suffered traumatic experiences.

The local government has allocated nearly half a million US dollars to upgrade its facilities. Besides clean rooms and utilities, the center caters well for the children's needs. It has a basketball court, table tennis tables, a soccer field and amusement park, as well as a mini theatre and a kitchen equipped with Chinese chefs.

Local officials hope the center will help the Chinese kids relax and give them an enjoyable time.
