Moderate earthquake struck near Taiwan

An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck a sea area near Taiwan at 0:14 a.m. Friday, according to a Taiwan-based seismological center.

The quake's epicenter, with a depth of 32.8 km, was more than 20 km to the east coast of Taiwan, the center said.

There are no reports of casualties or damages.
