The first US ship, carrying 37,000 tons of wheat, arrived in Nampo, in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It's the first of 500,000 tons of aid promised by the US.
Sunday's shipment will be enough for the UN World Food Programme to feed more than five million people, an increase from the 1.2 million people currently receiving international aid.
The WFP reached a deal with Pyongyang to rapidly expand aid.
