Fengshen causes 18 deaths in Guangdong

Four people are dead and four others are missing after landslides over the weekend in Guangdong Province as downpours continue there and in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The heavy rain from tropical storm Fengshen has now caused 18 deaths in Guangdong. Reservoirs are also under threat as water rises above the flood line. In neighboring Guangxi, traffic was blocked in some urban areas after ten hours of non-stop rain.
And also in Guangxi, seven people were slightly injured when a landslide derailed a train carrying more than 1000 passengers. The accident took place at 2:20 a.m.on Tuesday, as the train was passing through southeastern Guangxi.
