ROK presidential aides offer to resign over US beef row

Seven senior secretaries to South Korean President Lee Myung-bak have offered to resign over the escalating dispute concerning the government's controversial US beef import deal.

Presidential spokesman Lee Dong-kwan, who is among the seven, said they had already expressed their intention to resign individually to the president, but the offers were declined each time, citing inappropriate timing.
