On behalf of President Hu Jintao, senior military officers visited relatives of the missing people on board a helicopter that crashed in Sichuan Province last Saturday.

Central Military Commission Vice Chairman, Guo Boxiong, arrived at a garrison of the Chengdu Military Area Command on Thursday morning. He expressed sympathy to the families of the five crew members. Guo Boxiong said more troops have been dispatched to expand the area of search. And multiple technological means are being used to locate the helicopter.

Although the complicated terrain is making things difficult, Guo promised the search will continue as long as there is a glimmer of hope.
