Rice prices in Guangdong Province have stabilized over the past few days. Since the beginning of May, China's railway authorities have transported over 2.3 million tons of grain products from the northeast to other areas. 1.6 million tons of that went to the southern regions.

Guangdong provincial authorities say the region's rice prices have declined this past week, especially prices for domestic rice products.

China's railway regulators say May and June will see a total of 10 million tons of grain products shipped from the northeast to other parts of the country.
