The film Hahaha, produced by Luo Yan and featuring performances by Back Dorm Boys, David Wu, Li Jing, and Emme Wong is ready for release. Even before its release the comedy is attracting a lot of attention.

Hahaha tells the story of a middle-aged couple trying to fight infertility and have a child.

Hahaha tells the story of a middle-aged couple trying to fight infertility and have a child. Leading the cast is David Wu, who plays opposite Hong Kong actress Emme Wong. Wong adopted a new persona for her role, delivering her lines in the Northeast China dialect.

The comedy also features the Back Dorm Boys, a pop music duo that won fame through online videos. In the movie, two musicians play a pair of kidnappers with supernatural powers.

Back Dorm Boys, said, "It's a very memorable experience. It's difficult to play opposite children. There is the boy -- Xiaobao. We shot a lot of scenes together. I had to hold him in my arms all day long. We had to stop working once because he started crying. He rules the production crew. Everybody had to listen to him."

The movie Hahaha features substantial amounts of computer generated imagery. The firm is aimed at young people born in the 1980's and '90s. After its domestic release the film heads for the international market in months to come.
