Tornadoes kill 22, injure hundreds in U.S

In the US, search efforts for missing people are continuing after a tornado spun across the Oklahoma-Missouri border. At least 22 people have been killed.

In Missouri and Georgia, the tornado has killed 15 people and the number may rise.Communication links to the area are bad. And at least 80,000 residents are without electricity.

Seven people were killed in Picher, Oklahoma, where a 24-block area has been virtually destroyed. Hundreds of others have been injured. Crews and search dogs hunted on Sunday for survivors or bodies in the piles of debris.
