Bolivian President to face recall vote

Bolivian President Evo Morales will not block a nationwide recall vote and will stand for re-election after just two years in office.
Just hours after Bolivia's Senate passed a controversial law for a series of recall votes, Morales pledged to sign the bill into law as soon as it reached his desk. His term formally ends in January 2011. Morales and Bolivia's nine state governors could be forced to step down and run in a general election if over 50 percent of voters reject them in the referendum.
The Senate will announce the date for the referendum if Morales does not overrule the decision within 10 days.
