Russia expels 2 US military attaches

Russia has expelled two US military attaches from the US embassy in Moscow, following the ousting of two Russian diplomats from Washington in the past few months.

The US State Department has declined to provide reasons for Russia's expulsion orders, which were issued at the end of last month.

The two military attaches have already left Moscow. US officials have declined to draw any connection between the expulsions of the American and Russian diplomats. One Russian defense official was asked to leave Washington last month and the other in November last year.
