Three Chinese workers kidnapped in Nigeria

Three Chinese workers were abducted Tuesday by unidentified kidnappers in Calabar. That's the capital of Nigeria's southern Cross River State.

Staff from the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation were seized near the company's compound when they were in a vehicle heading home.

A company official says the kidnappers have demanded an unknown amount of ransom. The company is negotiating with the kidnappers to get the workers released.
