With only three months to go until the Beijing Olympics, security preparations are in place.

In Beijing, a team of Olympic security guards have been set up to ensure safety and prevent terrorist attacks. An international conference on Olympic security is also being held for global exchange in security protection and measures. A hotline will be set up between the chief of Interpol and Beijing security officials to ensure the rapid exchange of intelligence during the Olympic Games.

China's security forces have staged a number of exercises in recent months to simulate potential security dangers, including hijackings and hostage-takings, and many volunteers will help provide security services during the games.
