On Thursday afternoon, the 11th leg of the Olympic torch relay was 
successfully completed in New Delhi.It's the fourth time the Olympic flame has visited the city.

An Overseas Chinese said, "I'm very excited. I give all my best wishes to the Olympic Games. I wish for a successful games, and all the best wishes to the motherland."

An Overseas Chinese said, "A dozen colleagues joined us to watch the relay. Though there are not many of us, we wanted to come here, to have our voices heard, and to show our support for the relay."

An Overseas Chinese said, "To cheer the relay, the games. That's why we are here. It's very hot today, and we walked far from the India Gate. But we're very excited."

The New Delhi leg of the torch relay began at 4:45pm local time on the Raj Path, and ended peacefully at the India Gate 45 minutes later.

About 70 participants from all walks of life, including four Chinese runners, had a chance to carry the torch.

The 2.3-kilometer journey began when the torch was lit by Indian Olympic Association chief Suresh Kalmadi. A cauldron was later lit at the India Gate.

Suresh Kalmadi said Thursday's torch relay was a success. He said the Olympic spirit is universal and should be upheld by the whole world. Kalmadi said security is important for the sacred torch relay, and he is happy the relay concluded successfully with the assistance of the New Delhi government and police.

India's sports minister M. S. Gill, expressed his heartfelt wishes for the Beijing Olympic Games and said he will attend the grand sports event in August.
