DPRK´s top leader visits Chinese Embassay

Kim Jong-Il, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, has visited the Chinese Embassy in Pyongyang. It came as efforts continue to salvage stalled negotiations over the DPRK's nuclear programs.

Kim Jong-Il visited the embassy at the request of Chinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming. The Chinese envoy conveyed greetings from Chinese President Hu Jintao. DPRK state media reported the two had a cordial and friendly talk, after which the ambassador hosted a banquet for Kim.
The DPRK leader occasionally visits the Chinese mission. His last known visit was about a year ago.
