New York Philharmonic visits DPRK

The New York Philharmonic is embarking on a historic trip to the DPRK after playing in Beijing's National Theatre on Sunday.

It is the most prominent American cultural institution to visit the DPRK.

The Philharmonic's concert on Tuesday will be broadcast live on DPRK television and radio.

The Philharmonic's president and executive director, Zarin Mehta, says the performance will begin with the orchestra playing the national anthems of both countries.

The US and DPRK flags will both take the stage.
