Gore and Bono campaign for fight against poverty and climate change

Former US Vice President Al Gore and Irish rock star Bono kicked off the second day of the World Economic Forum in a session on alleviating world poverty and climate change.

Gore and Bono praised ongoing efforts but warn conditions were not improving. Climate change campaigner Gore warns the world crisis is worsening.

Meanwhile, Bono was critical of the failure of governments to live up to promises.

He says efforts by the G-8 to pledge 50 billion dollars each year to eliminate poverty had not been met.
