One Wuhan tunnel under Yangtze River completed

One of two tunnels under the Yangtze River, is now completed. The project in the central city of Wuhan, is the first to pass deep beneath the country's longest river.

It's designed to ease the traffic pressure on Yangtze River. Construction has had to overcome geographical and engineering difficulties.

The entire project is expected to be finished in August. Once it's operating, drive times between the two sides of the river will be cut to 7 minutes.
