Nearly one hundred Chinese riot police have returned home from Haiti. They are the last batch of China's fifth peacekeeping group to come back after an eight-month mission. And their replacements will pick up where they left off.

They are returning with honors. Eight months of peacekeeping mission have earned all of them UN Peace Medals.

On their arrival on Saturday in south China's Guangdong Province, many were proud of what they had done.

Hu Yunwang, Officer of Peacekeeping Riot Squad, said, "We carried out 113 highly dangerous missions, in addition to more than 1,200 regular security missions."
