President Hu: China willing to further develop partnership with ROK

President Hu Jintao, and top legislator Wu Bangguo, have met separately with visiting ROK Prime Minister, Han Duck-Soo in Beijing.

During Tuesday's meeting, Hu Jintao said that Sino-ROK relations have made rapid progress since the two countries established ties 15 years ago. He said he was pleased that the China-ROK Exchange Year had produced good results. And he expressed China's wish to develop its cooperative partnership with the ROK further.

Han Duck-Soo hailed China's active role in pushing forward the progress of the six-party talks. He also expressed his best wishes for Beijing's 2008 Olympic Games.

During his meeting with the ROK guest, Wu Bangguo said the parliamentary exchanges are an important part of bilateral relations. He said the National People's Congress hopes to improve its cooperation and expand exchanges with the ROK parliament.
