Chinese, ROK leaders attend closing ceremony of China-ROK Exchange Year

The China-ROK Exchange Year -- a year-long bilateral cultural program -- has closed in Beijing. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and his South Korean counterpart, Han Duck-soo attended the closing ceremony.
Young artists from both countries presented a fantastic show to the leaders and an audience of more than 1,000. Over 100 activities were held during the China-ROK Exchange Year.

Premier Wen says the exchange year has won public accolades and has boosted mutual understanding and cooperation between both countries. He has called for more youth exchanges to cultivate trust and friendship.
Han Duck-soo believes the China-ROK Exchange Year has cemented traditional friendship and has laid a sound foundation for future cooperation. He says the ROK will join with China to step up cooperative ties, and to strive for a better future for northeast Asia.
