Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao, wrapped up his four-nation tour late on Tuesday. In Moscow, Wen Jiabao held talks with his Russian counterpart, Viktor Zubkov, and met with members of Russia's parliament. Both Chinese and Russian leaders vowed to unswervingly push forward their strategic partnership and coordination.

During their meeting, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and his Russian counterpart Viktor Zubkov expressed satisfaction with the successful conclusion of the Year of China in Russia. They also commended the achievements of the decade-long Sino-Russia strategic partnership of cooperation.

During their two hours of talks, the leaders focused on striking a series of agreements for bilateral cooperation.

Of the nine agreements, four concern future cooperation on the peaceful use of nuclear power. The two sides also agreed to complete the construction of an oil pipeline connecting China and Russia by the end of 2008.

Wen Jiabao noted the Chinese government will continue the policy of further promoting the partnership, peace and friendship formulated by leaders of the two countries.

Zubkov says bilateral relations are at an all time high and the Russia-China partnership serves the fundamental interests of the two countries and plays a positive role of maintaining peace and development of the world.

This is the 12th regular meeting between the prime ministers of the two countries. They signed a joint communique, pledging to further enhance bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, energy, science and technology, nuclear power, space technology, aeronautics, transportation, banking and other fields.

The Chinese premier also met some 30 Russian legislators. He reviewed the friendly China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination and hoped the two countries' legislatures will strengthen exchanges and cooperation and jointly contribute to the development of bilateral ties.
