Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao who's in Belarus at the invitation of President Alexander Lukashenko. This is the third stop on a four nation tour that's already seen Wen in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

During his stay in Belarus, Premier Wen Jiabao will hold talks with Lukashenko and meet with acting Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko.

They will exchange views on bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common concern. A series of agreements concerning bilateral cooperation are also expected to be signed.

Premier Wen has highlighted the traditional friendship between the Chinese and Belarus peoples. He spoke positively of the growth momentum for bilateral cooperation, noting that the China-Belarus relationship has entered a new stage of all-round development and strategic cooperation.

In Ashkhabad, Premier Wen met with Turkmenistan's Assembly Chairman on bilateral ties and cooperation.

Wen Jiabao says Sino-Turkmen relations are developing steadily and cooperation in various fields has achieved remarkable accomplishments. He says both sides are satisfied with the ongoing development of bilateral relations and are confident about their cooperation in the future.

The Chinese premier also says the two countries have agreed to attach greater importance to bilateral relations and continue to broaden exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

Premier Wen also hopes the legislatures of the two countries will further their cooperation in a bid to promote the long-term steady development of their bilateral relations.
