The world's largest jumbo jet, the Airbus A-380, put on a breathtaking performance, much to the delight of the onlooking crowds.
The world's largest passenger plane soared above Hong Kong's famous Victoria Harbor on Monday and amazed residents who were in awe of the sheer size of the aircraft.
Crowds gathered to watch the giant jet swoop in between skyscrapers which at times seemed too close for comfort. Aircraft enthusiasts say they had never before seen a plane fly so low in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong student, said, "It is a rare chance to watch a plane fly across Victoria Harbor this low."
People took photographs of the huge aircraft which is expected to be sold to major Chinese airline firms in the next few decades.
Hong Kong resident, said, "I've been trying to pick the best position but it is so crowded, so I'll stay here."
The A380 flew over Hong Kong as part of the opening celebrations of the Asian Aerospace Expo and Congress, one of Asia's biggest air shows.
The four day event is expected to witness competition between Boeing and Airbus. Both firms would like to grab a slice of the fast growing China market.
China Southern Airlines, the country's largest carrier by fleet size has put in five orders to Airbus for the world's largest passenger aircraft.
