A program to save endangered South China tigers is under way at a 33,000-hectare nature reserve in South Africa.
A South China tiger known as "327", one of a hundred in existence, has been living in South Africa's Tiger Valley Reserve for three months. It's hoped he will mate with Cathy, a female South China tiger. If they have cubs, they will be released back into the wild. There are currently four other South China tigers in the reserve. They are learning how to survive in the wild.
Experts are trying to breed the tigers in the hope of re-introducing them and their offspring back into their natural habitat.
