President: Iran not to halt uranium enrichment work

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the West should not expect his country to suspend uranium enrichment. He made the comment as a delegation from the UN nuclear watchdog arrives in Tehran.

Ahmadinejad said, "Our nuclear path is absolutely straightforward and our activities are going on under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency. We seek negotiations and we believe the west can remove whatever ambiguity they might have over Iran's nuclear programme according to law. However, they should not expect us to give up our nation's rights or abandon our achievements or stop the process of our work. This will never happen."
