An IAEA team has arrived in Tehran to hold talks with Iranian officials on nuclear issues.
The team, headed by safeguards chief, Olli Heinonen, arrived in Tehran on Wednesday. The delegation was greeted by Iran's deputy negotiator, Ali Asghar Solta-niyeh at Tehran's Mehrabad airport. The team is expected to hold talks with Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, during its three-day stay.
The discussions will be within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and IAEA safeguards. The idea to draw up the framework was put forward by Larijani last month during talks with European Union foreign policy chief, Javier Solana.
