Special Report:   Year of China in Russia

People in Russia soon will have a fresh taste of Chinese culture too. A unique theatrical production of a Chinese martial arts show will be staged in Russia next month.

Organizers say "The Legend of Kungfu", which premiered in 2004 and then toured worldwide, is one of the major parts of The Year of China in Russia. The show starts Monday and will go to Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

It celebrates the philosophy and skill of kung fu through story-telling, dramatic design, choreography and breath-taking music. Russian martial artists say they hope the show, as well as the Chinese Year, will give them opportunities to learn more about China.
