Special Report:   Year of China in Russia

Shanghai Week, a part of the ongoing Year of China in Russia, has been going strong in St. Petersburg since Thursday. Various activities have been blossoming in Russia's capital of art and culture.

Artists from Shanghai took to the street to showcase traditional Chinese operas and music to St. Petersburg locals, as well as folk handicrafts like paper cuttings, caramel figures, and seals.

A St. Petersburg resident said, "Russia and China are close neighbors and we should visit each other from time to time. China has long and amazing history and culture, and Russia has a lot to be proud of, too. We're so impressed by the displays and we sincerely hope to know more about China."
