Chinese frigate arrives in Singapore for multilateral exercise

The Chinese naval frigate "Xiangfan" has arrived in Singapore for a multilateral naval exercise that starts today.

More than 20 warships from 12 countries including the US, France, and Australia, are expected to join the six-day exercise. The war games are being sponsored by the Western Pacific Naval Symposium.

China is a founding member. The aim is to increase cooperation among naval forces.
