WASHINGTON, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Two people, including the gunman, were killed and two others were injured Monday afternoon in a shooting incident in Houston, Texas, in southwest United States, media reports said.

A man went into a luxury apartment near the Galleria Mall in Houston early in the afternoon, and shot a man and woman in a office. Later, he shot another woman in the office, believed to be the manager, to death before going outside and fatally shooting himself.

News reports said the two injured were in good condition at local hospitals.

A nearby day-care center was once locked down due to the incident, which occurred days after a gunman, a contract worker of NASA, killed a male hostage and himself inside a building at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.
