Chinese President wraps up Russian tour

Chinese President Hu Jintao is back here in Beijing after a three-day state visit to Russia.

During his visit, President Hu met with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. The two countries signed a joint statement to develop strategic cooperation.

The two presidents attended the opening of the "Year of China" in Russia and the opening of the Chinese National exhibition. The "Year of China" follows on last year's "Year of Russia" in China.

200 events are planned, covering the economy, politics, science and culture to enhance understanding between the two countries.
