Video declares new Islamic state

Militants in Iraq have uploaded a new video on the Internet... they declare the creation of a separate Islamic state -- made up of six provinces including Baghdad.

The six provinces all have large Suni populations and, according to the video, the new state also includes parts of two predominantly Shiite provinces, south of Baghdad. The Mujahedeen Shura Council is made up of several insurgent groups in Iraq. And it claims to have released the video. The unidentified man in the tape said his organization decided to create the new sate in response to a recent law that sets out mechanics for the the creation of federal regions.
