Leaders and governments around the world have been voicing their support for the Anti-Secession Law.

On Friday, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and former King Norodom Sihanouk said in a joint statement that their country firmly supports the law, and will always back China's reunification stance. In addition, a high-ranking Thai Foreign Ministry official has reaffirmed his country's recognition of the "One-China" Policy, adding that the Taiwan issue is an internal Chinese affair. He says the Thai government realizes the newly-enacted law is designed to promote peaceful reunification across the Taiwan Straits... as well as prosperity and stability in the region. The official said he believed the Chinese government would work hard to achieve reunification in a peaceful manner. Another 17 countries have also voiced their support for the law, including Croatia, Kuwait, Zambia, Liberia, Nigeria, Mali, the Republic of Congo, and the United Arab Emirates.
