Many of China's non-governmental organizations have expressed their support for the newly enacted Anti-Secession Law. These organizations include the China Zhi Gong Party, or Party for Public Interest, the All-China Women's Federation, the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party and the Western Returned Students' Association. They agree that the law reflects the hopes of all the Chinese people for peaceful reunification of China.

The China Zhi Gong Party enjoys strong support across the world. Members agree the new law aims at the peaceful reunification of China, and the promotion of communication across the Taiwan Straits. But it also expresses China's strong determination to oppose "Taiwan independence" secessionist forces which attempt to make Taiwan secede from China.

President of the Western Returned Students' Association, Han Qide, said the law has been applauded by Chinese scholars overseas. He said it's not a law that advocates war, but is rather a law of peace to protect the basic interests of Taiwan compatriots. Members agreed that the law supports the basic goal of their association, which is to develop China. They said they will make use of their wide international support to promote the country's reunification in line with the law.

Han Qide, president of Western Returned Students' Association, said, "The law protects the basic interests of Taiwan compatriots. The law separates the secessionists from the rest of the island's 23 million people, and aims to protect them from the catastrophic actions of the secessionists."

Similarly, members of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party said reunification would bring prosperity to both sides of the Taiwan Straits. They said some of the world's powers don't want to see a prosperous China, and are looking to profit from the current instability between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. They called on Taiwan compatriots to look at the law objectively and reasonably, and understand its aims.

The All-China Women's Federation also expressed their firm support for the promulgation of the law.
