After the Anti-Secession Law was enacted on Monday, China's non-communist parties have been voicing their strong support. Our reporter Zou Yue joined a seminar held by the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang on Tuesday and filed this report.

Showing strong support for the Anti-Secession Law, these are members of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, one of the eight non-communist parties in China. The chairwoman of the party, also vice-chairwoman of the NPC, He Luli, said that the law is meant for peace. He said, "The law concerns China's unity and the reunion of brothers on both sides of the Taiwan Straits. But it will surely bring the Taiwan secessionists in awe and check the anti-China forces abroad."

But another concern is to highlight the cross-straits exchanges between the mainland and Taiwan. For some, this will bring the two sides closer to reunification. Li Ganliu, standing committee member of RCCK Central Committee, said,"I am convinced that we can make the Taiwan people believe in peaceful reunification. I myself received 4 groups of Taiwan youth this year. Through their visit, they have felt a stronger bond with the Chinese culture and the mainland people."

Zhou Tienong, vice chairman of Revolutionary Committee of Chinese Kuomintang, said, "All our party members will work with the mainland and Taiwan compatriots to serve the common development across the Straits and work hard for the peaceful reunification of the country."

Many of them believed that the law's passage is however just one step of the mainland's efforts to achieve a peaceful reunification. The real challenge is bring about the Taiwan authorities' understanding of the law.

The adoption of China's Anti-Secession Law has won popular support on the mainland. China hopes that the Taiwan authorities understand the purpose of the law -- peace and stability across the straits under the principle of 'One China'.
