Foreign officials express views on CPPCC

It is not only Chinese people who are keeping a close watch on the annual sessions of the NPC and CPPCC. Diplomats and officials from various countries and business organizations are attending this year's sessions to see China's policy-making in progress.

Foreign observers arrived in the Great Hall of the People on the afternoon of Wednesday, an hour before the country's top government advisory body started its annual session.

Although they were only here to watch and listen, the officials expressed high hopes for the session.

The foreign attendants agree that the CPPCC plays an important advisory role, with the valuable proposals it makes to the government.
